According to british newspaper Independent, Ben Stokes has been dropped from the entire ipl 2021 season due to a fracture in his left hand. Stokes was injured in the catch of Punjab Kings explosive batsman Chris Gayle.
According to the newspaper, “After losing a chance to catch earlier in the match, Stokes dived from long on and caught the West Indies batsman. He then felt uncomfortable celebrating with fellow players.”
The newspaper further wrote, “The Independent has learnt that Stokes will stay out for a week. Talks between the ECB and royals on the management of the injury have begun. He will have an X-ray on Thursday to reveal the seriousness of his injury and the ECB will plan for his recovery.”
Rajasthan lose by four runs in first match
It may be recalled that Rajasthan Royals had lost the match against Punjab Kings. In fact, Punjab scored 221 runs in 20 overs in the first innings. In reply, Rajasthan were 201 runs in 18 overs at one point. But she could not score 21 runs in the last two overs and lost by four runs.
